Andi: "When I paint I
often use gouache or watercolour and with these paints I can
create any number of different colours, but the single ingredient
that allows me to put these colours onto a surface is water.
When I paint a picture I am merely adding coloured dyes to something
transparent, in order to make visible something that would not
otherwise be seen."
We hope to bring you more
of his work in the future.

Andi St Clair
Andi St Clair lives
and works in Bristol.
His painting celebrates
a world full of natural wonder while drawing attention to its
innate struggles. The inspiration for his artwork arises from
the mysterious place between these two dynamic realities.
Through living too
deeply in one reality we lose contact with the other. Quite often
we are suspended in our own physical reality; wars, industry,
entertainment, politics etc. and as a result we fail to acknowledge
the non-mechanical part of the world to which we owe our existence.
Andi hopes to restore,
with his artwork, the balance between these two worlds within
the individual and breathe life into the sense of wonder that
resides within every one of us.
