Through working on the Temple of Dreams Andi's process of painting became more artwork has become more about exploration and discovery, a process of both science and meditation.
Temple of Dreams
The Temple of Dreams was born
from Andi's wish to create, with a coherent structure, something
that could 'contain' images of infinite expression. Something
on a scale unknown to himself as he began the journey that led
him to create his most involed image to date
Andi first constructed the layout of the image, namely the spirals and colour themes which delineated the different tiers of the temple itself. Having chosen theme colours he then put aside the rational part of his mind and worked with each colour in turn improvising - allowing his intuition to conjure up images associated with the colours involved.
Andi "The Temple of Dreams conveys a sea of images that all have their basis in a flowing movement of unbroken wholeness. I believe that behind all the fragmentation and conflict in the world there is the same ground of unbroken wholeness, and backstage to this theatre of war and conflict there is a universal peace and harmony. The paotential for this peace and harmony sits like a jewel in everyone's heart."
