 Clio makes herself available to the Earth so that She can use Clio as a channel to paint Her message. Most of the paintings are of well rounded Woman, thus celebrating 'the feminine in the parched desert of male materialism'. Clio "I want to bring Her in big and strong, to bring balance, and us back to our senses;to cherish Life, the Earth which gives us Life; to reconnect in humility and dignity with the Source; to re-awaken and embrace the adventure of being truly Alive! "I love to dance and to sing. Dance flows through me, songs come to me. I see the sea and I have to dance, I have to sing. In the woods, by a river, in the warmth of the sun I let my sides down and open up. Accepted as I am, unjudged, I let my voice soar. I sway with the trees. I feel their roots deep in the ground, my own roots reach down with them. The Earth holds me. I am swept along in a rush of wonder. The Earth is my temple. This is my prayer. This is my ecstasy. Wild Food is another passion central to my life. I much prefer foraging in the woods and hedgerows to the cold aisles of the supermarket. It awakens a depth of experience and connection to the Earth which we have almost lost." |
Clio Wondrausch Clio lives and works in Totnes, South Devon. She sources clay and stones from the local environment to prepare the earth pigments that she paints with. Nurturing her deep soul connection to Mother Earth Clio's artwork celebrates Her (Earth's) bounty and beauty.
